Duration: 6 months+

Location: Portland OR.

Required Skills:

 

  • Technical skills including JCL, programming (PL1, COBOL, REXX or other programming languages) and setup, configuration of DB2 components.
  • Extensive knowledge of DBA skills relating to database design
  • Experience with monitors, utilities, and administration tools from multiple vendors.
  • Experience supporting distributed applications in a Data Sharing environment.
  • Proficient skills to appropriately function in performance tuning for DB2.
  • Knowledge and experience in Disaster Recovery planning and testing methodologies.
  • Analysis and design skills involving ability to gather data on systems issues, define alternative approaches, assess business impact, recommend cost-effective solutions, and develop and implement those solutions.
  • Project management skills, ability to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, and to determine specifications, schedules, and deliverables
